Mr. Robert Sefcik of Jacksonville Sports Medicine Program submitted Laurie Giordano's request to update the Florida EL3 Consent and Liability Release language at the FHSAA/Sports Medicine Advisory Committee meeting 8/12/2019. Laurie requested updating the form with clearer language and updated definitions and treatment for Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Exertional Heat Stroke. The proposal was accepted and the updated EL-3 form will be submitted to the FHSAA Board for an approval vote at the January 18-19, 2020, meeting in Gainesville, Florida.
